Eskdale Stores and Post Office is located in the picturesque village of Eskdale Green in the beautiful Eskdale Valley in the English Lake District. To many Eskdale is the most beautiful valley in the Lakes and its location on the western side of the mountains means it is quieter than Ambleside, Bowness and Keswick. Whether you approach from the east via the challenge of Wrynose and Hardknott passes (not for caravans) or more easily from the coast to the west, once you get into the valley, the peace and tranquillity will overwhelm you. Here you will share the peace with red squirrels, buzzards, herons, the peregrine falcon and the occasional hoot of La’al Ratty, the miniature railway that travels from the coast at Ravenglass to Boot.
